New Tottenham Court Road Station opens

A new entrance hall and concourse at Tottenham Court Road Station has opened to the public.
The scheme - part of a £400 million multi-phase revamp of the station – includes new passageways, a much larger ticket hall and new escalators leading up to street level.
The entrance which brings passengers out to the south-west corner of Tottenham Court Road is the first of three planned new entrances set to open. In the run up to the opening Fourway managed the migration of the station control systems to a brand new control room. This required simultaneous changeovers for CCTV, PA, customer information, Help Points, station management systems, IT data networks etc
Fourway completed the 3 year long design and installation of the station communications in collaboration with clients NG Bailey and Taylor Woodrow.
