OUR HISTORY

Fourway was started by four soldiers who de-mobilised together after the second world war. Initially manufacturing machinery for the emerging radio industry of North London it became incorporated under the name Fourway Jig & Tools Ltd In 1962.

In 1978, two of the original founders sold the business to Leon Snell a manufacturing consultant. His simple ethos of 'be the best' led to the business growing quickly. However in the late 1980s manufacturing declined and the Company changed direction seeking new clients in the rail sector. By 1998 rail business accounted for 95% of turnover.

The Company today remains under family ownership, giving long term stability, commitment and accountability.
