Typically, they acquire a detailed picture of the existing infrastructure through record review, survey and consultation with asset owners. In tandem they assess the proposed construction (ie ground works, demolition, piling, building works etc) by reviewing the design, programme and methodology. We can also minimise enabling works by planning it as a series of linked stages thus avoiding a piecemeal approach.
